The Public Authority for Manpower in Kuwait has launched a new digital service called “Notification of Leaving Work” through the As’hal portal. This service allows workers to be electronically notified if their employer submits a request regarding their absence from work.
The notification is sent directly to the worker’s “Sahel” application, giving them a 60-day grace period to review the case and provide proof that they have not left their job. Employers can now print the notification directly through the As’hal portal without the need to visit the labor department or obtain additional signatures or certifications, streamlining the process and facilitating business operations.
The new system incorporates a Quick Response (QR) Code to verify the data and ensure the authenticity of the notification. These notifications are valid for three working days from the time of printing, within which they must be delivered to the General Directorate of Residence Affairs at the Ministry of Interior to complete the reporting procedures.
The Manpower Authority has emphasized that this new service is part of its ongoing efforts to develop digital services, simplify procedures for business owners, and enhance government efficiency, aligning with broader initiatives to modernize public administration in Kuwait.
