Jahra Security Campaign Arrests Five Residency Law Violators

The Jahra Security Directorate conducted a field security campaign across Al-Naseem, Al-Qasr and Al-Waha areas in cooperation with the Committee for Combating Negative Phenomena and multiple government agencies.

The operation involved coordination with Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition to identify and address violations.

Security personnel arrested five residency law violators who were conducting commercial activities inside private residences. One additional individual wanted in connection with an absconding case was also apprehended.

The campaign resulted in three food safety violation reports, four municipal violation reports, and two reports involving violations under the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy. Authorities monitored three grocery stores and two bachelor accommodation facilities during the operation.

According to the Ministry of Interior, recorded violations will enable necessary legal measures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The campaign reflects the Jahra Security Directorate’s ongoing efforts to curb negative practices and strengthen public safety.

What This Means for Expats: Residency law violations carry serious legal consequences, including arrest. Expats should ensure their residency status is valid and avoid any commercial activities from private residences.
