Kuwait’s General Traffic Department is intensifying campaigns targeting delivery motorcycle riders to enhance road safety and reduce traffic violations. The ongoing operations monitor compliance with traffic regulations and enforce legal consequences for violators.
Authorities are prioritizing several critical violations: failing to stay on the right side of the road, stopping outside designated areas, ignoring road lines and markings, and disregarding traffic signals. These infractions pose risks to both riders and other road users.
The Ministry of Interior has committed to continuing these campaigns across Kuwait’s various areas as part of its broader traffic discipline initiative. The ministry has also called on delivery companies to supervise their employees more closely and ensure strict adherence to traffic laws.
Delivery riders have been reminded to wear safety helmets, maintain appropriate speeds, and follow all road rules to protect themselves and others sharing the roads.
What This Means for Expats: If you use delivery services regularly or work in the delivery sector, expect increased traffic enforcement. Ensure your delivery riders comply with traffic laws to avoid fines and legal issues.
