Jahra Security Campaign Nets Arrests for Residency Violations

The Jahra Security Directorate conducted a field security campaign targeting the areas of Naseem, Qasr, and Waha, resulting in multiple arrests and violations. The operation took place on October 29 and was carried out in cooperation with the Negative Phenomena Committee and several government agencies.

The campaign was coordinated with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, Kuwait Municipality, and the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy to detect violations and take legal action against offenders.

Authorities arrested individuals for residency law violations involving people engaged in commercial activities inside private housing. A wanted man was also arrested in connection with an absconding case. Additional violations related to the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy were documented.

All violations were recorded in preparation for necessary legal procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The Ministry of Interior stated that such campaigns will continue in cooperation with concerned authorities to ensure compliance with the law and maintain public order.

What This Means for Expats: If you operate any business from a residential property or rent accommodation for commercial purposes, ensure you have proper licensing and permits—authorities are actively enforcing these regulations.
