The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has revealed details about its electronic linkage system with the Central Bank of Kuwait that tracks salary payments from employers to workers. The system operates through eight distinct steps, beginning when an employer submits a salary disbursement request and ending with electronic transmission of payment results back to PAM.
The process includes: submission of the salary disbursement request, processing through the Central Bank, receipt of salary data by the employer’s bank, verification and cross-referencing of data against registered employees, validation of the data, execution of payment, generation of results, and electronic transmission of results to PAM.
According to PAM, this electronic integration strengthens oversight of salary payments, eases pre-verification of disbursement transactions, eliminates manual processes between banks, aligns regulatory controls with payment outcomes, and accurately identifies employees entitled to salary payment.
What This Means for Expats: This automated system ensures transparent tracking of your salary from employer to bank account, reducing delays and manual errors in payment processing.
