On March 3, 2026, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy in Kuwait confirmed that two overhead power transmission lines in the southern part of the country were temporarily taken offline due to debris from intercepted drones.
According to Eng. Fatima Hayat, the ministry’s official spokesperson, the incident did not result in any power outages. The electrical loads were rerouted through alternative lines as per the approved operational plan, ensuring uninterrupted supply and network stability for all customers.
Specialized emergency teams were immediately dispatched to the site to assess the damage and carry out repairs in accordance with the highest safety and technical standards. Eng. The Ministry urged citizens and residents to rely solely on official information sources and reassured the public that updates will be provided as the situation develops. Eng.
