All Emirates flights to and from the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates have been suspended until further notice, the airline says. The development comes a day after the company spokesperson told the Reuters news agency on Friday that Emirates expected a return to 100 percent of its network in the coming days, reports Al-Jazeera.
An incident was reported near Dubai International Airport today (7 March 2026), but it appears not to have been a major explosion at the airport itself. According to the Dubai Media Office, the incident was caused by debris falling after a successful interception, which created a “minor incident.” Flights were briefly delayed or held in the air while the situation was assessed. Some aircraft were seen circling before landing and operations slowed temporarily. No injuries were reported from the latest incident, and the situation was brought under control.
