The General Administration of Customs has seized 200 kilograms of the banned substance chewed tunbak at T4 Airport in Kuwait.
According to the Customs Public Relations Department, 40 kilos of the substance were found with a Bangladeshi passenger, and another 159 kilos were seized from three other passengers of the same nationality during a separate incident.
Authorities have filed seizure reports and referred the violators to the relevant legal bodies. The Customs Department is also coordinating with the Ministry of Interior to track down others involved in the case.
The administration praised the vigilance of customs officers and urged all travelers to follow Kuwait’s customs laws to avoid legal consequences.
