India Launches e-Visa Facility for Kuwaiti Nationals

India has officially launched the e-Visa facility for Kuwaiti nationals, effective from July 13, 2025. This new initiative aims to simplify and speed up the visa process, allowing Kuwaiti citizens to apply for Indian visas entirely online.
The e-Visa is available for purposes such as tourism, business, medical treatment (including AYUSH and wellness), medical attendants, and conferences. Applicants no longer need to visit the Indian Consular Application Centres (ICAC) in Kuwait, as biometrics will now be done on arrival in India.
Tourist e-Visas can be issued for up to 5 years at a cost of USD 80. Business visas are valid for up to one year, while medical and medical attendant visas are valid for 60 days. Conference visas are issued for 30 days.
Visa applications must be submitted through the official portal: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa. Processing takes about 3 to 4 working days. A valid passport, a recent photo, and other documents depending on the visa type are required.
Once approved, an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) will be emailed to the applicant, which must be printed and presented on arrival. E-Visas are accepted at 32 airports and 5 seaports across India. A full list of entry points is available at: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html.
The existing paper visa system through ICAC will continue to be available. For assistance, applicants can contact the 24×7 e-Visa Helpdesk at +91 82 7808 7808 or email indian-evisa@gov.in.
