The General Directorate of Customs has issued a warning to all travelers passing through Kuwait’s customs ports: do not carry or transport luggage belonging to other people. According to an advisory released through the Government Communication Center, travelers who transport others’ bags risk facing legal liability if that baggage contains prohibited items. Customs stressed that luggage from other people may contain materials that are illegal to import, export, or transport into Kuwait. The directorate urges all travelers to thoroughly check the contents of any luggage they carry before crossing customs points to avoid potential legal consequences.
