Kuwait’s Social Reform Society Launches Blood Donation Drive to Support Health Sector

The Kuwait Social Reform Society (SRS), represented by the Islamic cooperation bureau, has launched a blood donation campaign to support the health sector and promote the values of societal integration and solidarity. The campaign, which was carried out in cooperation with the Central Blood Bank in Jabriya, saw the participation of several donors.

According to Dr. Khaled Al-Mathkour, the head of the SRS, the initiative stems from the society’s belief in its humanitarian and national role, as well as its dedication to fostering collaboration among individuals. He emphasized that such efforts are aimed at cementing the values of voluntary action and boosting societal participation with the state’s bodies.

Dr. Al-Mathkour further stated that integrating efforts among official bodies and civil society organizations is a crucial pillar in supporting the health system and enhancing readiness to face various challenges. The SRS, he added, continues to support the state in multiple fields, including participating in the preparation of shelters as part of initiatives to raise societal readiness and strengthen the culture of collaboration in the face of emergencies, ensuring the safety and stability of the community.
