The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) has reassured the public that food supplies in Kuwait remain safe and plentiful. Dr. Shaima Al-Asfour, the Deputy Director General for Community Nutrition Affairs and the authority’s official spokesperson, conducted an inspection tour of the Sulaibiya border crossing and the Sulaibiya laboratory to review procedures for examining food shipments entering the country.
During the visit, Al-Asfour assessed the workflow and monitoring mechanisms in place to ensure that all imported food products meet safety and quality standards before being released into the local market. She affirmed that food stocks in Kuwait are sufficient and that the food situation remains safe and stable, attributing this to the continuous oversight and strict inspection measures carried out by the authority.
The inspection tour is part of the PAFN’s ongoing efforts to maintain high standards of food safety and reassure consumers that all necessary measures are being taken to protect public health.
