Philippine Embassy in Kuwait Issues Travel Advisory Amid Middle East Tensions

The Embassy of the Philippines in Kuwait has issued an advisory to Filipino nationals and travelers in Kuwait following widespread flight disruptions caused by escalating tensions across the Middle East.

In a statement, the embassy warned that several countries in the region have temporarily suspended flights or closed their airspace as a precautionary measure due to the ongoing security situation. The countries affected include Iran, Iraq, Israel, Syria, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain, where airspace closures or suspensions have affected commercial aviation. Meanwhile, Jordan is operating with restricted airspace, while the United Arab Emirates is maintaining limited flight operations. Saudi Arabia has also imposed certain restrictions.

The embassy noted that the evolving situation has led to widespread disruption to international air travel, with many flights cancelled, delayed, or rerouted as airlines avoid flying through the affected airspace to ensure passenger safety. Authorities urged travelers to remain vigilant and check with their respective airlines for the latest flight updates before heading to airports, as schedules may change at short notice.

The advisory forms part of the embassy’s efforts to keep Filipino nationals informed and ensure their safety during the ongoing regional developments.
