Four Arrested in Kuwait Drug Busts; Cocaine, Meth and 300 Captagon Pills Seized

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 3: Kuwait’s Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Directorate for Drug Control and in coordination with the General Directorate of Customs, arrested three suspects for allegedly smuggling narcotic and psychotropic substances into the country through a land border crossing with the intention of trafficking, the Interior Ministry said.
According to the ministry, authorities acted on information that two suspects were bringing the drugs into Kuwait and arrested them upon entry. During questioning, the suspects allegedly admitted that they had brought the substances to deliver them to a third suspect, who was subsequently arrested. Investigations also found that the suspects had been communicating with a person abroad to arrange the receipt and transportation of the drugs. Kuwaiti authorities coordinated with security agencies in the relevant country to continue investigations.

In a separate case, the International Control Department of the General Directorate for Drug Control arrested another suspect allegedly found in possession of narcotics and psychotropic substances intended for trafficking and personal use. Authorities seized 150 sheets of narcotic material and a sensitive scale in that case.
The Interior Ministry said legal measures were taken against all suspects, who were referred along with the seized items to the competent authorities.
