Kuwait Airways Receives Around 2,000 Requests from Citizens and Residents Abroad to Return to Kuwait
Kuwait Airways Chairman Abdulmohsen Al-Faqaan stated that the company has received approximately 2,000 requests from citizens and residents abroad who wish to return to Kuwait. However, he noted that Kuwait International Airport is fully ready for operation but will not be used for the time being due to the current circumstances and the closure of Kuwait’s airspace.
In the coming days, around 1,600 Kuwaiti citizens are expected to return to Kuwait via Saudi Arabia by land. Al-Faqaan also mentioned that most of the stranded passengers in the transit area, estimated at around 1,200 travelers on Kuwait Airways and other airlines, have already departed the country by land to airports in Saudi Arabia.
The company has not suffered any damage or losses, according to Al-Faqaan.
