The Ministry of Interior officially launched the “Kuwait Visa” platform https://kuwaitvisa.moi.gov.kw today, Wednesday, following the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef and the supervision of Acting Undersecretary Major General Ali Al-Adwani.
However, the online visa platform is not applicable to Indian nationals who are not residents of GCC countries.
The platform enables the issuance of various types of visit visas including tourist, business, family, and government to applicable nationalities in line with the legal regulations of the Ministry of Interior and the guidelines of the General Administration of Residency Affairs.
According to the Ministry, the new visa system is divided into four main categories:
Tourist Visa: Designed for individuals wishing to visit Kuwait for tourism or entertainment. It grants a three-month residence permit from the date of entry.
Business Visa: Issued to those visiting for business purposes such as meetings, conferences, or partnerships. This includes businessmen, company representatives, and officials from major corporations. The visa grants a one-month stay.
Family Visa: Intended for close relatives visiting family members residing in Kuwait. It must be applied for by a resident family member and grants a one-month stay.
